EXTREMELY RARE and very rarely available. Some Aromatherapists like to claim Honeysuckle oil does not exist which is not true. The truth is it does not exist as a steam distilled essential oil. It does however exist as an absolute solvent extracted essential oil or an sugar cane enfleurage extracted essential oil, and a maceration essential oil.
We are one of very few to be lucky enough to have this extremely rare viscous syrupy oil. We are one of a few purveyor of this rare, handcrafted Honeysuckle (Lonicera japonica) enfleurage oil produced in Israel. Our honeysuckle enfleurage oils is one of the most precious oils in the world and known for its heady floral fragrance.
This is a thick resinous oil and the Honeysuckle Absolute Essential Oil comes full-bodied and long-lasting. This Honeysuckle Oil is NOT a hexane solvent-extracted absolute, this is a enfleurage natural solvent extraction which is a very long process that takes a lot of blooms to create. Extremely rare!
Pure local palm oil is used to absorb the aromatic oils from the Honeysuckle flower petals and once the palm oil is completely saturated with the essence of the honeysuckle flower then the palm oil is separated from the Honeysuckle blossoms and finally by natural cane sugar alcohol which is then evaporated off gently in our vacuum crucible to leave only the thick goopy beautiful Honeysuckle oil.
This oil is of very high quality that blends very well with Sandalwood oil and Ylang Ylang. Extracted from flowers. The sweet, heady scent of Honeysuckle, carried on a warm summer breeze, is one of the most delightful experiences of the season. Strongest at night in order to attract pollinating moths, this scent is a happy addition to any garden.
Honeysuckle is a climbing plant, common in hedgerows, scrub, and woodlands where it twines itself around other shrubs and trees. Whorls of trumpet-shaped flowers appear from June to August and clusters of red berries ripen in the autumn.
