This week’s Parsha we find tsara’as and leprosy go hand in hand. But the Jewish Sages gave a spiritual rather than physiological explanation for the disease tsara’as (generally translated as “leprosy”) which affected not only the body but also clothing and the walls of houses. According to one source several sins could possible be the cause for the infection to spread beyond bosy but even to wall and clothing.
R. Shmuel bar Nachmani said “Because of seven things the plague of leprosy is incurred, namely, slander, the shedding of blood which includes causing blood come to a person’s face from embarrassment, a vain oath, incest, arrogance, robbery and envy.” (Arakhin 16a)
However, most Sages concur that the main cause for tsara’as was slander and gossip. Take Prophetess Miriam for example she was punished with skin disease of leparsy because she spoke against G-d’s chosen servant Moshe Rabbeinu.
The Tanach teaches us that the world you and I live in is a product of our perception of reality. “whatever a man thinks he becomes”. Many people have asked “Do we see reality or do we see our perception of reality? Answer of course is that we do not see reality, but only our perception of reality. In other words, is this world reality? No, this world is your perception of reality. Gan Aden is still here we just left it in our minds. Therefore, the focus and clarity of your awarenessnes of the G-d will determine the kind of world you live in. If you think G-d does not exist then for you G-d will not exist. Avraham Aveinu looks around and became aware of G-d’s existence by seeing and feeling His presence in the world around him and even just by just simply smelling a flower on a warm day. Avraham understood that the world does not exists outside of G-d.
Each one of us has a choice. You can believe that this world is filled with the presence of G-d who cares about it and guides it. Or you can believe that this world is one big accident, a chaotic mess. The choice is yours. But remember what you believe is ultimately what you will see and experience. What you believe creates the world you live in. Just like if you say “I am Angry then you will be angry” Anger will be apart of you. Always be careful what you say after “I am”
How would I act if I really believed that G-d’s presence filled my life, my home, my office, my city, my world? How would I speak to my family, husband, and kids? How would I treat the stranger? To the extent that I think, speak, and act in accordance with this heightened awareness, to that extent, G-d can be present in my world.
The so-called “good- deeds” and “rituals” of Torah tradition are designed to be building blocks to nurture and become real in our minds all day long, so that I can channel G- d’s presence into the world and into my life.
By increasing my awareness or consciousness of G-d, I thereby allow the light of G-d and all the gifts of spiritual wealth to pour into the world. Few realize the true goodness in deeds and the real richness in rituals meaning practicing faith by action and our words. They are really invitations to G-d. What we are saying in both words and actions is, “G-d, I want to get You into my life!”
The Sages teach that you and I have the dimmer switch in our hands. We can either turn the light of G-d up, creating a whole and radiant world filled with health and joy, imbued with the presence of G-d, or we can turn the dimmer down, creating a dark, gloomy, ugly, a G-dless world.
Our consciousness and awareness of G-d, which is nurtured by our thoughts, speech, and actions, becomes the vessel to receive the divine presence of G-d and the vehicle to transmit the divine blessings from G-d into our daily lives.
How do we to heighten that awareness so you can line your will with G-d want what G-d wants for you? Let’s look at smell and frequency testing. How does it work? Well it works like this, you let your nose chose and tell you what essential oils you really need. MLM Companies out there will tell you that if you hate the smell of a essential oil that’s the oil you need. How wrong and dangerous that can be!
The Essential oils you resonate towards are in fact the essential oils you really need to heal yourself. During the Frequency test in essence gives the client a way to experience the Garden of Eden here and now. Take them on a Journey through the Garden of Eden to find that perfect herb or flower in that Garden so a perfect blend can be made to help bring balance and deep healing.
One you gain health your awareness of G-d presence becomes stronger and more here and now. This is how you can really achieve kedusha when you pray, do good and speak only truth and most of get in touch with your divine sense of smell that we have from the Garden of Eden. This may bring such good health and abundant living through G-d blessings.
G-d is only sending light into the world all the time, but if we do not want his will or his presence in our lives we receive his blessings as a struggle, a challenge and sometimes can be experienced as a curse in our lives.
