Water has a Memory of the Divine G-d from the beginning of creation

Water is a liquid computer or fluid computer and you are made of approximately 80% of water some of us are less than others but nonetheless you are made of water. We must respect water because it is a memory holder. Water was there in the very beginning when it was created so it has a memory of the Divine G-d and the beautiful Garden of Eden when man was placed there. How we think and treat our bodies are water records that and it needs to be treated with respect. How we treat our bodies water changes everything within us. If one has negative thoughts and do negative things our water records its environment and one can become sick. We need to stop trying to change its program. If a person is filled with anger hatred jealousy fear unkindness have an unforgiving heart then waters become polluted and cannot function properly and therefore sickness will come. We need to stop the chemical warfare of filling our bodies with junk food, drugs, using synthetic products that pollute our water. The life making materials such as water is being treated badly and we were expecting it to be well-behaved within our bodys when consumed. When we treat it bad with our negative thoughts and actions. We can polute it with outside invasions from chemicals and bad food our water records all this. It’s time to change the bad programming and wipe the hard drive and start fresh again feel our thoughts and actions with joy happiness love peace forgiveness charity gratitude and most of all with Torah. The way you...

Emuna Our Faith in G-d

Israel Desert mountain-2010 The smallest amount of Faith moves mountains. That tells us how strong our minds are and how powerful faith can be. But it would also be a crime to move a mountain because it was not just dropped there out of nowhere, it grew in that place by various forces from elements in a particular way to help produce it and for it to spring up in that very spot. Your life is entirely your making. Man is the only one of G-d’s creation that is given free will to shape their own life. Everything else in creation has to follow the laws of nature that G-d set forth. Man has a choice to shape their lives to G-d will or to their own will. We have more power given to us by our Creator. Our thoughts manifest our reality. If those thoughts are negative these thoughts are not in G-d’s will for us and in turn, we begin to experience His blessing as a curse when we are out of balance to His will. If you live your life foolishly then you cannot avoid disaster. G-d forbid If someone jumps off the mountain, it might feel good and may feel like you are flying until you hit the ground. This is what it means to say Ignorance is bliss. This is dangerous. Man will perish with lack of knowledge of G-d. Looking for freedom from G-d might make a person feel good, but eventually, they will be underground because of that decision and it will be too late. -Rivka Sari 2001 Shemin Tov L’Moshiach Oil...
Guard Your Words

Guard Your Words

G-d is not everywhere he is where we let him in. He will not force His presence in your life. The invitation is by your prayers and blessings and accepting his Torah and Mitzvos. This is what it means to have G-d in your Life. A blessing is experiencing G-d’s will and a curse is experiencing G-d’s blessing out of balance of his will. Reyach breathe in Ruach breathe out Breath is the life force of the Body. Every time you take a breath you are connecting your Nefesh (living soul) with your Neshama (spiritual soul)  that is the divine essence of G-d our Creator. Do you feel His presence? Reyach breathe in Ruach breathe out Your very breath is an invitation to G-d to be present for without G-d you cannot breathe  Carefully chose your word wisely. Do NOT speak without knowing the facts when you decide to speak against anyone. For what you are speaking,  if it is untrue in the slightest you will be speaking the very judgment upon yourself, you have cursed yourself.  Do you want to risk it? Do your words invite G-d’s Holy presence and blessing or shut out G-d in your life and His blessings for you can only be experienced as a curse. What Do Essential Oils Consist Of? Chemistry of Essential Oil

In general, pure essential oils can be subdivided into two distinct groups of chemical constituents; the hydrocarbons which are made up almost exclusively of terpenes (monoterpenes, sesquiterpenes, and diterpenes), and the oxygenated compounds which are mainly esters, aldehydes, ketones, alcohols, phenols, and oxides. Terpenes – inhibit the accumulation of toxins and help discharge existing toxins from the liver and kidneys. Sesquiterpenes are antiseptic and anti-inflammatory. They work as a liver and gland stimulant and contain caryophyllene and valencene. Research from the universities of Berlin and Vienna show increased oxygenation around the pineal and pituitary glands. Further research has shown that sesquiterpenes have the ability to surpass the blood-brain barrier and enter the brain tissue. other sesquiterpenes, like chamazulene and farnesol, are very high in anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial activity. Chamazulene may be found in chamomile, tansy, and yarrow. Farnesene is anti-viral in action. Limonene has strong anti-viral properties and has been found in 90% of the citrus oils. Pinene has strong antiseptic properties and may be found in high proportions in the conifer oils such as pine, fir, spruce, and juniper. Other terpenes include camphene, cadinene, cedrene, dipentene, phellandrene, terpinene, sabinene, and myrcene. Esters – are the compounds resulting from the reaction of an alcohol with an acid (known as esterification). Esters are very common and are found in a large number of essential oils. They are anti-fungal, calming and relaxing. Linalyl acetate may be found in bergamot, Clary sage, and lavender Geraniol acetate may be found in sweet marjoram.Other esters include bornyl acetate, eugenol acetate, and lavendulyl acetate. Aldehydes – are highly reactive and characterized by the group C-H-O...

The Healing Music of DNA Plant Aroma. Finding your Song.

(Copyright Excerpt from New book “Heaven Scent the Sweet Sense of Divine Smell” coming soon 2019) “Know that each herb has its own poetry and melody.” דע לך שכל עשב ועשב יש לו שירה וניגון משלו   –Rabbi Nachman In the Garden of Eden Adam and Eve had the privilege to hear the song of each fragrant plant singing in the garden. All the fragrant tree praising Hashem. We know in Isaiah 55:12  it says  “You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.” Do we have a hint that even the plants and tree can sing? But why can’t we hear it now? Well, we do have to go back to the Garden to understand why? Mankind was living on a higher plateau in their minds in the Garden of Eden. Almost in a different dimension. We were living and walking on a higher ground in the way we thought so, therefore, we could hear the plants sing when we smelled its aroma. The DNA sequence of the garden plants was heard. The Torah suggests that it was that world which was the more genuine one. A world where we actually walked in the cool of the evening with our Creator learning the secrets of Torah and the universe that He created and not only could we hear it, but we could hear the vibration and frequency of the Garden plants aroma now imagine that the next time you breathe in the aroma of...

What You Think You Become.

In the Torah, it says, we are taught to seek the Kingdom of heaven within, because when you connect to G-d through prayer, when you connect to the divine perfection our Creator, you can live in a place of abundance. You’re happy for no reason. You’re excited about life. You recognize the beauty and the abundance and prosperity of blessings. You’re in a place of having in essence. You are connected to Spirit. You already have what you want, therefore more will be given to you. It becomes easier to believe and create the things that G-d wants in your life, to the energy field of the universe. Proverbs 23:7 “For as a man thinks in his heart so is he… “ כי כמו שער בנפשו כן הוא The words for think here mean something more than the obvious. Shaghar/ שער = entrance, gateway, The after effects of prayer and meditation. In his heart or deep within his soul his living being / בנפשו – From the word נפש living soul. In Leviticus 17:11 says that the very life of the flesh is in the blood, but also can be understood as what has been concealed is in the Living soul of man Nefesh / נפש. So, the better translation could be this: “For as a man opens up the gateway doors of his soul, so is he… “What you think upon and then meditate on the most is what you become or are. So let your imagination go in the Torah of G-d and then conceal it within your soul make it manifest in your life according...

The Power of Baby Scent

Newborn Babies smell so good. I always encourage new mothers to not use anything that has a fragrance or aroma on her newborn. I tell them to enjoy their baby’s scent. it can help prevent baby blues (postpartum depression). I always encourage them to wash their hair with warm water and soft washcloths with no soap. This also lets them keep their locks longer and that sweet aroma longer. As this and other research shows, scent is a pretty powerful force, and one that seems to have a direct pathway to our brains. Scent has been shown to trigger memories, protect us against harmful toxins (such as when we smell food that’s rotten) and bind us to things we love, like a romantic partner and protects us from dangers, also toxic people or friendships.  And it seems to be something even infants can do is make us swoon over them. Since we rely so heavily on our eyes, it is obvious why vision has a sense of greater tangibility. That is why we have “eyewitnesses” and not “nose witnesses”. But there is something mysterious about the sense of smell, in that you can’t always see what you smell. Smell is one of those things you perceive without a clear, volitional attempt to detect a stimulus. Because odors drift far from their source, carried along by air currents in the form of plumes, an odor can be detected long after the source has stopped emitting the odor, imbuing the sense of smell with an almost mystical attribute. It is actually divine. Along with this concept, Jewish Sages teach that our sense...
“Zehav Shemen” and The Aroma of Gold Oil

“Zehav Shemen” and The Aroma of Gold Oil

Here is something I learned just recently. Jewish sages say that if gold had a smell it would smell like Frankincense, Myrrh and Rose. Why? Here is why Rose is said to open up the veins of the mind and heart. The Hebrew word for rose is וְרִיד and the root word of rose is ו – ר – ד which means vein. When the letter yud י is added it is the first letter of G-d’s Holy Name and so therefore it is G-d who opens the veins of the mind and heart. Frankincense in Hebrew Levana means white or pure. The root word of Frankincense is ליבנת that means heat or heated. Gold is heated to be purified. Myrrh is the word מֹר which means bitter but it is also the word for Mr. or Master root. The master of the Universe causes Gold is heated to be purified so that it opens the Veins of the mind and heart. Finally the word gold is דהב which means to become golden or pure light. Precious gold was said to be infused into the anointing oil that Moshe (Moses) used for mental, bodily and spiritual purification. In the ancient times of our Jewish history it was believed that gold in the body worked by stimulating the life force (blood cells) and raising the level of vibration on all levels. When smelled by our nose it boosts the brain to focus more clearly. Gold was use for dentistry by both Egyptians and Israelites alike. It was common to drink Colloidal Gold.Today, medical uses of gold have expanded greatly. It...

What Emotional Imbalances Can Be Balanced With Essential Oils in Aromatherapy?

Among the many emotional disturbances affecting humans, Aromatherapy has been found effective in: Anger Bergamot, Jasmine, Neroli, Orange, Patchouli, Petitgrain, Roman Chamomile, Rose, Vetiver, Ylang Ylang Anxiety Bergamot, Cedarwood, Clary Sage, Frankincense, Geranium, Lavender, Mandarin, Neroli, Patchouli, Roman Chamomile, Rose, Sandalwood, Vetiver Confidence Bay Laurel, Bergamot, Cypress, Grapefruit, Jasmine, Orange, Rosemary Depression On a systemic level the euphoric oils address depression arising from sympathetic nervous hyperfunctioning from sensory, emotional or mental overstimulation (including grief, fear, and shock). On a focal level, however, they also work symptomatically to help relieve any kind of depression. As such, they may be used short-term until systemic treatment is available or begun, and regardless of whether the more long-term treatment involves aromatherapy alone or also includes counseling, nutrition, herbal medicine, nutritional supplementation or any other form of natural therapy. In some cases, as in depression with chronic low self-esteem and insecurity, euphoric oils should not be used continuously on their own. At the very least they should be combined with one or two other oil types that address the systemic condition presenting. The main euphoric oils include Jasmine, Ylang-ylang, Neroli, Rose, Tuberose, Clary sage, Nutmeg, Patchouli, Vetiver, Atlas cedarwood, Sandalwood, and Myrrh. From the fragrance energetics point of view these oils are predominantly floral-sweet, woody and rooty. Twelve Tribes Gemstones and their Essential Oil with corresponding Ketoret and Brain Function

Twelve Tribes Gemstones and their Essential Oil with corresponding Ketoret and Brain Function

The Torah tells us that upon the Shoham stones, the names of the tribes were engraved: וְלָקַחְתָּ, אֶת-שְׁתֵּי אַבְנֵי-שֹׁהַם; וּפִתַּחְתָּ עֲלֵיהֶם, שְׁמוֹת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל.  שִׁשָּׁה, מִשְּׁמֹתָם, עַל, הָאֶבֶן הָאֶחָת; וְאֶת-שְׁמוֹת הַשִּׁשָּׁה הַנּוֹתָרִים, עַל-הָאֶבֶן הַשֵּׁנִית—כְּתוֹלְדֹתָם – Six of their names on one stone and the names of the remaining six on the second stone, according to their births (Shemos 28:9-10).  Therefore, upon one stone was engraved: Reuven, Shimon, Levi, Yehuda, Dan, Naphtali; and upon the other stone was engraved: Gad, Asher, Yissachar, Zevulun, Yosef and Binyamin.  Why did the Kohen Gadol carry the names of the Tribes of Israel upon his shoulder straps? אַבְנֵי זִכָּרֹן, לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל – Stones of remembrance for the Bnei Yisrael.   Rashi notes: שֶׁיְּהֵא רוֹאֶה הַקָּבָּ”ה אֶת הַשְּׁבָטִים כְּתוּבִים לְפָנָיו וְיִזְכּוֹר צִדְקָתָם – That Hashem will see the (names of the) Tribes written before Him and He will remember their righteousness (28:12 w/ Rashi). And what of the אבני מילואים, the twelve Filling Stones, which adorned the חשן (the breastplate)?  Upon those twelve were engraved the names of the tribes, in order of their birth, one tribe per stone (28:21 w/ Rashi). If the names of the Tribes were engraved upon the stones of the shoulder straps, what do we learn from the fact that they needed to be further engraved upon the twelve breast-plate stones?  Furthermore, what lesson can we derive from the command to engrave the Shoham stones with six names per stone, while the Filling Stones were engraved with one name per stone?  Perhaps the Torah is teaching us a profound lesson of what it means to be a member of...
Proper Testing of Essential Oils and Hemophilia Clients. Written by Rivka Sari ©2012 This is the most important information that Aromatherapist must know.

Proper Testing of Essential Oils and Hemophilia Clients. Written by Rivka Sari ©2012 This is the most important information that Aromatherapist must know.

Proper Testing of Essential Oils and Hemophilia Clients Written by Rivka Sari ©2012 – Written Homework  assignment for Tiferet Aromatherapy Course Study with Avraham Sand based on his work on Fragrance Testing. Also based on the work of Professor Tim Jacob, head of the Smell Research Laboratory at Cardiff University on the art of Body Fragrance Matching When we first experience the essential oil, this is like a first date. The chemistry between the oil and the client will usually become clear immediately, according to the way they respond to the fragrance. This is only a brief encounter compared to using the essential oil in an aromatherapy treatment, but it is a very reliable first impression. When doing a massage or reflexology treatments, if the client is drawn to the fragrance, it will be effective and enjoyable when they use it in a treatment right at that time.  your nose is a medicine detective. The only If they are not drawn to it, the oil should not be used at that time, but might still be an appropriate choice when used in a later treatment, if it tests positively later. It is important to realize that our preferences (and needs) for the oils are continuously changing. We will be attracted to different oils at night than we would choose in the morning, and different oils at various seasons in the year. A woman will be drawn to varying oils at different times during her monthly cycle. As our state of health changes, our fragrance preferences and needs change accordingly. Our goal in this aspect of becoming a seasoned and proficient...

How To Raise Your Vibration Using Color Therapy and Aromatherapy

By Marlene M. Mitchell Certified Aromatherapy Teacher and Certified Color Therapist  Colors of flower reflectsin the color of essential oils. As plants derive energy from the sun’s component rays which contain all the colors of a rainbow, they offer a special method of absorbing color vibrations into our system. Unlike synthetic substances, which have no vital force contained in them, essential oils are filled with living, pulsating vibrations. This is why aromatherapy, like color therapy, forms a part of “vibrational medicine” – a form of medicine that uses the powerful vibrations of the electromagnetic spectrum. As I have been researching Aromatherapy and Color Therapy for years I have learned how they both work harmoniously together and blend to create a desired effect. To create a perfect blend of Aromatherapy with the color vibration you can blend a complementary color pair such as yellow and violet, or pink and green. You can also use color as a guide to using essential oils, by mixing those with similar or complementary colors. Orange skin tonic: Put 16 drops of orange essential oil and 4 drops of neroli into ½ cup/4 fl. Oz/100 ml orange flower water. Use as a cleanser, as required. Do not use if pregnant. Do not go out into the sun for at least 72 hours. Yellow/Violet Healing Balm For Acne and Spots Mix two drops of lemon essential oil and one drop of lavender essential oil with 6 drops of evening primrose oil. Spread onto the affected area morning and evening. Do not go out into the sun for at least 72 hours. Do not use if pregnant....

Don’t EVER use turmeric if you’re on any blood thinner and coagulations medications

by Rivka Sari | Apr 24, 2016  Health, Remedies & Natural Cures |22 April 2016 Turmeric is often touted as a natural cure-all for most common ailments. It is also usually recommended as an alternative to pharmaceuticals and other medications as it is a natural substance and produces fewer side effects. Although these are all valid points, this leads many people to underestimate the effect that turmeric has on your body. Research has shown that turmeric can actually cause some serious side effects if taken in high doses or used in combination with other drugs. What is Turmeric? When people refer to “turmeric” they are usually referring to the ground-up root of the turmeric plant. The use of turmeric dates back to India almost four thousand years ago, where it was used as a culinary spice and also in medicinal and ceremonial situations. Although many of it’s claimed benefits go without scientific backing, turmeric has still been proven in many studies to provide a wide variety of health benefits. Most of turmeric’s health benefits come from the active ingredient found inside it called curcumin. Throughout the extensive studies conducted on curcumin, researchers found that curcumin exhibits anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-carcinogenic and anti-thrombotic (reduces blood clots) effects. As a result of all of these beneficial properties, people often use turmeric as an alternative to, or in combination with, other drugs that they use to treat their ailments. They often do this to avoid the complications and side effects that occur when one takes high doses of pharmaceutical drugs. However, the same properties that make turmeric so beneficial also make it dangerous to take in combination...

General Hemophilia Information for People who have a bleeding disorder

General Hemophilia Information (c) 2011 Written By Rivka Sari by Rivka Sari | Jan 28, 2016 | blog, essential oils for hemophilia, HEMOPHILIA, Safety, Uncategorized | 0 comment Written By: Rivka Sari (c) 2011 General Hemophilia Information Hemophilia is a rare disease that prevents the blood from clotting normally. A person with hemophilia lacks the necessary clotting factors to stop bleeding, so he often needs some sort of intermittent treatment to avoid serious blood loss in the event of a cut or injury. Approximately 20,000 Americans suffer from hemophilia. The disease can be mild, moderate or severe, depending on the how impaired a person’s clotting factors are. The idea that a hemophiliac can bleed to death from a minor cut is a fallacy. A person with hemophilia may bleed a bit longer from a minor external injury or cut, but most of these problems can be easily remedied using typical first aid practices. The biggest concern for hemophiliacs is internal bleeding because it can occur without obvious signs and can cause very serious, life-threatening situations. Bleeding into the joints, muscles and other soft tissues is of major concern. Possible Causes of Hemophilia There are two major types of hemophilia, classified depending on which particular clotting protein is missing:Hemophilia A is caused by a lack of factor VIII. It accounts for approximately 80% of all hemophilia cases. It is passed to male children from a mother who carries the disease. Hemophilia B, also caused Christmas disease, is caused by a deficiency of factor IX. It is also passed to male children by a mother who is a carrier. It is...

High Priest Releases The Garden of Eden Aroma on the planet

“During the days of the Temple, a Cohen-Priest was specially chosen by lottery for a once in a lifetime opportunity to offer the Temple Incense on the Golden Altar. By burning the Incense, he released the most beautiful fragrance on earth into the air throughout Jerusalem. This is the unique fragrance of the Garden of Eden which protects from death and endows Prophecy. A Nation of Priests through the merit of their good deeds, is also releasing a beautiful fragrance, to the whole world. This is the fragrance that accelerates the paradigm shift and the rebuilding of the Temple, waking up and elevating the planet to know truth, holiness and righteous living.” ~Rabbi Avraham Sand He shall take a censer full of  burning coals from the altar, and the fill of his hands of finely ground ketoret; and he shall bring [these] inside the curtain. He shall place the ketoret upon the fire before G‑d; and the cloud of the incense shall envelop the covering of the [Ark of] Testimony . . .Leviticus 16:12–13 The Jewish sages give us amazing insight into the reason why sense of smell is divine. They tell us that the sense of smell was not involved in the ‘’sin of the garden’’ and therefore retains divinely and spiritual powers it had from before the sin in the garden. The reason for this belief is that in the Torah’s description of the sin in the garden, the sense of smell is strangely omitted from the description of events that unfolded during one of the greatest and most important events of mankind’s history. It is written ‘’So...
Aroma for Brain Health?

Aroma for Brain Health?

In studies performed at Vienna and Berlin Universities, researchers discovered that sesquiterpenes, a natural compound found in essential oils of Vetiver, Patchouli, Cedarwood, Rosemary, Sandalwood and Frankincense Rivae, Frankinense Sacra can increase levels of oxygen in the brain by up to 28 percent (Nasel, 1992). Such an increase in brain oxygen may lead to a heightened level of activity in the hypothalamus and limbic systems of the brain, which can have dramatic effects on not only emotions but on learning, attitude, and many physical processes of the body such as: immune function, hormone balance, and energy levels. High levels of sesquiterpenes also occur in Melissa, Myrrh, Cedarwood, and Clove essential oils. Research from the universities of Berlin and Vienna found that sesquiterpenes increase oxygenation around the pineal and pituitary glands. This allows for ideal balance of emotion-regulating and memory-stimulating hormones. We recommend brain blends such as  Brain Health, Stress Ease Now, and Mind Over Matter, to calm your emotion, create more oxygen, ease headaches, ease stress, to build your immune system and quiet all over  body inflammation. The bottom line is that essential oils can penetrate not only the blood-brain barrier, but they can also penetrate the skin, follow nerve pathways, follow the meridians, and provide healing and balance even at the cellular level such as cellular memory and DNA. Holy Smokes! Incense is a Higher Ground of Medicinal & Original Aromatherapy?

Holy Smokes! Incense is a Higher Ground of Medicinal & Original Aromatherapy?

The ‘ketoret’ is the incense described in the Bible for use in the Holy Temple. Its composition and usage is described in greater detail in midrash, the Talmud and subsequent rabbinic literature. Although it was not produced following the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 CE, some Jews study the composition of the ancient Temple incense for future use in a restored Temple as part of daily Jewish services. Contemporary Judaism still uses aromatic spices in one ritual, the havdala) ceremony ending the Sabbath. In addition, there is a blessing for pleasant smells. Most Incense can be used for Aromatherapy medicinal purposes. Some people like to make into a ritualistic experience, but in Jewish tradition this is forbidden when burning incense because of the ketoret incense was and is the only ritual burning of incense allowed. Since our Temple does not stand we can no longer burn ketoret. But much of it’s ingredients like frankincense, myrrh, cassia etc can be used for healing purposes only. Incense can purify a space from germs. The burning of incense, use of essential oils, or inhaling of nature’s aromas outdoors was one of the original natural “treatments,” helping to keep humans in balance on many different levels since the beginning of time. It just goes to show that as we continue on the path of technological advancement of our planet, modern medicine, and further disconnection from G-d’s creation of nature, society ultimately relies more and more on man-made drugs and chemicals to make up for the lack of awareness of, the organic medicines that their ancestors received from spending time in nature...

Emotional Health and Your Body’s Temple

Jewish Sage Maimonides Medical Writings tells is that King Solomon shared these secrets of great health. Physical health cannot be addressed without the addressing emotional and spiritual issues also. Rabeinu Moses Ben Maimon who was a great Torah scholar and physician in the 15th Century says the whole person must be treated. He sat out to uphold Torah divine dictum which is the gold standard of maintaining good health, preservation of life and healing the whole body and soul. G-d gave Traditional Torah (Bible) Medicine and Aromatherapy, which has been practiced for more than five thousand years, has a central principle that Maimonides classifies five major organ systems that are each associated with particular emotions. The five major organ systems involve pairs of organs and an associated emotion. The liver and gallbladder are associated with anger, the heart and small intestine are associated with joy that can cause palpitations and restlessness, the spleen and stomach are associated with over-thinking, negative thinking, or pensiveness that can lead to depression that can lead to digestive issues, the lungs and large intestine are associated with grief which cause causes breathing and raspatory issues, and the kidney and bladder are associated with fear and deep seeded anger that cause kidney stones and other severe dysfunction. The Color Red אדם in Understanding Biblical Color Therapy צבע טיפול בשמנים

Adom אדם  in Hebrew is the word for the color Red The letter read  are from Right to left Alef Dalet Men אדם Each letter represents Adom א, Daveed ד (King), Mashiach מ. These three have Wisdom and Understanding. Red is associated with the Tribe of Judah which is the tribe that the King of Israel was chosen from. It is also the tribe which Mashiach (Messiah) will come from. Judah is considered the wisest and most understanding of the 12 tribes of Israel. Red is considered one of the most important anointing colors. But too much of the color Red -Adom can become Edom, Edom is the name of the nation that sprang from Esau, the son of Isaac and Rebekah, and the brother of Jacob (Genesis 25:30). Edom bordered Israel on the south and was a kingdom long before Israel (Genesis 36:31). Edom and Israel skirmished throughout their existence. King Saul battled them (1 Samuel 14:47) but David conquered them (2 Samuel 8:14) and Edom remained under Israel’s control until the reign of Jehoram (2 Kings 8:20). The ethnonym, Edomite, occurs only sporadically in the Bible (Deuteronomy 23:8, 1 Samuel 21:8, 1 Kings 11:14), and is spelled without the signature letter vav. That means that Edomite is spelled the same as Adamite (one of Adam).   The root (shoreshim) of  RED  דמם  דום  דמה  דמן  אדם  דם Perhaps by coincidence and perhaps not, this root-cluster contains roots that all seem to have to do with stillness or productivity, with a clear nod to the color red. Red is the color of dawn and is also the first color a human...
The King is in the Field. Come take a stroll with him in the Garden?

The King is in the Field. Come take a stroll with him in the Garden?

Happy Chodesh Elul! The King is in the Field. Come take a stroll with him in the Garden? The month of Elul, last month of the Hebrew calendar year, is an auspicious time for repentance, prayer and introspection. These are special days of Divine good will and mercy, and the very essence of these days bespeak the basic human need for closeness with the Holy One, blessed be He… and His immediate and unequivocal response. The word Elul in Hebrew is actually an acronym, an abbreviation of the Hebrew words Ani l’dodi v’dodi li, “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine” (Song of Songs 6:3). This verse from the Song of Songs is actually the theme of this very special month: realizing how beloved we are to G-d, and how precious our relationship with Him is. Elul reminds us that G-d constantly beckons us to return to Him. During this month, we seek to improve our relationship with G-d and with each other. Before A king enters a city, it’s inhabitants go out to greet him and receive him in the field. At that time, anyone who desires may approach and greet him. He …receives them all pleasantly and shows a smiling countenance to all. As he proceeds to the city, they follow him. Afterwards, when he reaches his royal palace, one may see the king only with permission, and this is only granted only to the nation’s elite who are a select few. (From the Maamer Ani Lidodi V’dodi Li of the Alter Rebbe) The month of Elul is a joyous time where Hashem has made...
