Radix Arnebiae Root, or known as Arnebia Root, is the root of Arnebia euchroma or Arnebia guttata, which is a perennial herb belonging to the family Boraginaceae. It has a medicinal history of over 2,000 years. Its aroma is very mild, almost non-existent, but it is a powerful root to bringing down inflammation in the body.
Arnebia euchroma often grows in mountains, grasses, dry stone slopes, valleys, and shrubs at an altitude of 2,500-4,200 meters. It grows in Tibet, Nepal, Persia, the UAE, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, and Egypt. This is an Artisan Handcrafted Oil. That is processed through cold pressing the roots for 365 days until the color is a deep purple magenta color to a dark red and the soft aroma is achieved. The essential oil small molecules are in there we just capture the whole larger molecules too, along with it.
Every spring and autumn, people of these regions gather the roots of Arnebia euchroma or Arnebia guttata, remove any impurities by washing the roots with warm water, cut them into thick pieces, dry them in the sun, and make them into herbal medicines by maceration either in grain alcohol or fatty carrier oil.
