The scent is light and uplifting and has a classic frankincense aroma, a bit like Carterrii or Maydi But Sweet. I have never seen the resin oil for sale before and so I really could barely wait to be able to offer it in small amounts here and on our Website. The most unique quality of this resin is that it melts completely in oil, overnight which is why hydro-distillation is not feasible it takes 3x times the amount of resin to get a small 5ml of essential oil. So this resin was ideal for the maceration essential oil technique “Ancient Shemen”. At a high cost for this resin, we did this maceration technique three times to achieve a nice strong aroma and a nice high-quality oil to work with for your blend, natural perfumes, and skincare.

There have been some clay jars that had Frankincense resin residue which sealed the jars to cold hold liquid such as wine. It would make sense since this resin will melt completely in heat, water, and oil. If it was melted in oil the oil as a paste which could seal cracks of clay jars easily. It is also believed that at Sinai is where the Israelites have first introduced this Frankincense.

In Nazareth, Israel the locals both Arab and Jewish would say the ancient apothecary of the region provided Frankincense from Yemen as medicine, perfume, and quite possibly for use Temple anointing oil because it could made quickly and that it was introduced at Sinai which was located in Yemen.

Yup you guessed it Teiman was Yemen and Sinai was in Yemen and “G-d came from Teiman”. So it was at Sinai that G-d first made his presence known to the whole nation of Israel at Sinai which was is Yemen. So the idea of this Socotra Frankincense was introduced to the Jewish nation is plausible.
