Our Jasmine hydrosol is made from a variety of Jasmine flowers and buds. Then we distilled the material to produce a lovely light, earthy scent with the beautiful scent of Jasmine. It is sweet jasmine green, with gentle soft tuberose floral sweet. So do not expect a overly heavy Jasmine aroma. It is a treasure!.
Fresh flowers cannot be distilled for Essential Oil but gently semi-dried flowers can give tiny amounts of essential oil that stay right into the finished product. The distillation process is very short and produces about 4-10 oz of hydrosol so in order to get a good volume of Hydrolat we do have to use a lot of material in distillation which is so worth the labor and time.
When mixed with other hydrosols such as rose, gardenia, and honeysuckle it makes a nice skin toner, Also perfect for making lotions and creams. Jasmine contains many healing properties which make it a valuable addition to the natural medicine cabinet.
