Mimosa Absolute Oil is extracted from the flowers and stems. The concrete is blended with a touch of Israeli Jojoba oil. Mimosa is very expensive so blending with a very small of Jojoba not only makes it pourable but also affordable.
In natural perfumery, it is used in florals, colognes, new-mown hay, and chypre The absolute is used in numerous lilac abs base, violet, new-mown hay, colognes, ambres, etc. Actually, mimosa abs will generally act to round off rough spicey notes like patchouli or galbanum or vetiver and lift the natural floral citrus oils in a natural perfume composition.
True Mimosa Acacia decurrens is hard to find and are often with many Latin names which can be quite confusing. True mimosa can be found in India, Italy, Israel, Morroco, and South France.
