Syzygium aromaticum known as clove originated in the Maluku islands in Indonesia but is used in the Ayurvedic and Chinese Medicine herbal traditions.
Used in Temple Ketoret Blend. In the Bible it is known as ציפורן Claw Root ie Clove It is used in many different ways and is considered to be a pain killer, antioxidant, antiseptic, anti-depressant, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antifungal, and antibacterial.
Eugenol makes up the majority of constituents is at 70-80% of the essential oil. The oil from the clove contains a number of other compounds including A-caryophyllene, humulene, isoeugenol, eugenyl acetate, flavonoids, and cinnamic acids. It also contains tannins and triterpenoids. Together these compounds are amazing for gum disease to tighten gums and restore enamel, antifungal, and a great bacteria and germ killer.
