This oil can become semi-solid in cooler temperatures because of the coconut, jojoba, and babassu fat oils. Aroma profile is somewhat a green, sweet, buttery floral aroma with a slight hint of honey notes. Hyacinth flowers are so delicate that the only way you can naturally extract their scent is to use the Enfleurage or Absolute method.
Did you know that the hyacinth originates in the Middle East? It grows between Turkey, Iran, Lebanon, and northern Israel. In Israel, it is a rare and protected species.
We grow the wild hyacinth in our garden at Rimon Farms in Israel and pilgrimage to Mt. Meron to collect this lovely flower to produce just a small amount of this highly fragrant oil. In bloom in March, its flowers are exquisite, and their delicate scent is so much richer than most Hyacinth flowers found elsewhere in the world.
Hyacinths from our perfume garden go under the process of enfleurage – an antiquated and now revived technique grasse in which the flora of the hyacinth exhales their heavy fragrant perfume aroma onto trays of glass smeared with a combo suet of two or three kinds of heavy vegetable fats, rendering it a completely vegan product.
And because this oil is so fragrant and highly concentrated the concentrate is then added to golden Israeli Jojoba oil at the last batch of flowers at the end and at the end of 26 hrs we strained all floral material to leave a gorgeous hyacinth flower aroma. Oils keep the fragrance close to your skin and are less harsh than using a perfumer’s alcohol.
This process makes it easy to pour and to work with. Frankly, I love using this one with Jasmine abs essential oil as a perfume because of the deep complex interesting notes it gives to the blend or I like to use it alone in a diffuser locket simply this is one of those oils which is meant to be smelled often to bring a positive mindset.
Hyacinth oil is a liquid displaying a delicately penetrating, ethereal fruity buttery floral bouquet. In natural perfumery, it is used in high-class florals, sacred perfumes, literary essences, Asian bouquets, and lovely middle eastern oud blends.
Blends well with Amyris, Jasmine Abs, Honeysuckle, Gardenia, Benzoin, Bergamot, Cypress, Elemi, Frankincense, Geranium, Grapefruit, Jasmine, Lemon, Neroli, Petitgrain, Rose, Rose Otto, Sandalwood Mysore, Sweet Orange, Violet, & Ylang Ylang.
“What a joy Hyacinths are to work with. To just look at them, you would think they are pretty and a party girl, but when you get down to it, you realize they are like tough, strong grandmothers, lasting for years, like the embroidery on your 200-year-old blouse. Proud in their folkloric sense. A Psychedelic light bearer for Spring. “-Be En Foret
Spiritual Application: Hyacinth represents “Crown” and Queen Esther was said to understand this symbol of the Hyacinth and decided to be beautiful through her choice to honor G-d in the situation she had found herself in. This is why she was chosen for her inner beauty.
Flower petals are normally at the top of a plant reaching for the sun and are the glorying crown of a plant. Each person is known for their face panim and Countenece which is located at the top of our physical body. The smile on our faces lights up our face with positive energy and frequency or when we are sad it can take the light out of our face which means our energy and frequency are drained.
A flower can be wilting or in full bloom in all its glory and beauty, depending upon the frequency energy of our emotions. The top of the head is our “crown.” Its energy can be emanating upward, outward, and around as our bio-photon field which is our aura light. It is so true your emotion does affect others around you.
Hyacinth Essential Oil Precautions Avoid during pregnancy as Hyacinth Oil is an emenagogue. Hyacinth oil is also a very concentrated oil so be sure to use it sparingly.
