Our Jasmine hydrosol is made from the flowers, buds, leaves, and stems that are harvested and gently dried. Then we distilled the gently dried material to produce a lovely sweet, earthy scent with the tiniest hint of Jasmine and leafy greeen notes with green tea-like aroma. It is more grassy green sweet, with gentle tea-like notes than floral sweet. So do not expect a heavy Jasmine aroma. It is a treasure in itself.

Fresh flowers cannot be distilled for Essential Oil but gently dried flowers can give tiny amounts of essential oil that stay right into the finished product. The distillation process is very short and produces about 4-10 oz of hydrosol so in order to get a good volume of Hydrolat we do have to use a lot of material in distillation which is so worth the labor and time.

When mixed with other hydrosols such as rose, gardenia, and honeysuckle it makes a nice skin toner, Also perfect for making lotions and creams. Jasmine contains many healing properties which make it a valuable addition to the natural medicine cabinet.
