Also known as “True Geranium,” Artisan Distilled from flowers, leaves, and stems. Medium green to dark green. The specific green color of real geranium essential oil is due to its azulene content, which has soothing, moisturizing, and powerful skin-regenerating properties. This oil will crystallize even above room temperature. It will need a very warm bath in order to totally liquify and blend with other oils.

The root of the word “zdrave” comes from “health”, probably because the plant is a rich source of essential oils, polyphenolic compounds, tannins, catechins, vitamin C, and antioxidants that have great health benefits.
The organic essential oil of real geranium (zdravets) is obtained by steam distillation of the fresh above-ground part of the wild plant Geranium macrorrhizum.Suggested uses: as a middle note in a perfumery blend. It can be used as a few drops in a skin serum.
Also referred to as Bulgarian Geranium, Zdravets should not be confused with geranium oils from the botanical family Pelargonium. These two do not share a similar aroma or share that rosey geranium scent that Zdravet does NOT have.
Aroma: It has a characteristic fresh, sweet, floral, slightly sharp green aroma with a resinous note with a slight rose-like nuance. It is a symbol of Health and Long Life, Prosperity, and Youth. Used to lower blood pressure because of its flavonoid content, Zdravets essential oil has antiseptic, antispasmodic, anti-allergic, and astringent qualities.
Zdravets essential oil is olive/dark green semi-opaque crystalline mass with an earthy, woody, spicy, herbaceous aroma and subtle floral notes.
