Made with Wild Fresh Tri Color Violet Flowers and Heart-Shaped Violet Leaves which make this hydrosol very rare and unique.
We love adding leaves it really captures the sweet aroma It takes a lot of plant material to get good quality hydrosol. Aroma slightly green slightly honeyed, sweet violet aroma. Extremely feminine aroma and slightly hypnotic. Use as a spritz to skin, hair, clothes, and linens.
We are picky about flowers and leaves. These have to be perfect before they become a part of the steam distillation process. This ensures a good Ph level and quality of our Hydrosol.
We do get some essential oil in the distillation process, however, we do not separate the essential oil from our hydrosol water. It is usually 3-7 ml of essential oil to every 32 oz of hydrosol water. We leave it to stay mixed in the water. This becomes a natural preservative in the Hydrosol. and you are getting the essential oil benefit as well. Our Violet hydrosol batches are much smaller.
This hydrosol water is steamed distilled in small batches in our kosher kitchen in-house lab, on our own specialized copper still equipment. We make only small batches to ensure freshness and many times this sells quickly before the season of violet flowers are over. We keep the hydrosol in a special temp-regulated refrigerator to ensure that they stay fresh and we also check PH levels to ensure the batch is of excellent quality to sell to our customers.
Anti-inflammatory by nature, violet leaves serve as a topical soothing aide for skin issues. This trait comes from their high mucilage content, which is a viscous gelatin-like solution that is found in their leaves. Its this component that lends them the ability to soothe abraded skin tissue from just about any cause. With the sweet flowers, you have a powerful hydrosol.
This hydrosol can be used for after-shower spray or use in lotion creams and clay masks. Simply take a teaspoon of clay spray in the hydrosol and mix and apply to the face. Let dry and then rinse. You will love how it clears blemishes and gives a smooth brightness to your face.
