Fucus vesiculosus is a type of brown to deep green seaweed kelp that is harvested from Israeli shores of Mediterranean Sea. Seaweed is distinguishable by its air-filled “bladders”, that keep it afloat. The seaweed has a naturally high iodine content and is enjoyed for its nutritious value. However, this oil is for topical application only or for making your nautical favorite blends, skincare, and perfumes. “It finds use in mossy, woody, herbaceous, aldehydic or ‘green’ perfume types, or in fantasy bases, etc.” (Arctander, Steffen. Perfume and Flavor Materials of Natural Origin, 1960, p. 585.)
Also known as Bladderwrack is also called dyer’s focus, red focus, and rockwrack. It is a member of the Fucaceae family. when added to Fractionated coconut oil or a favorite carrier oil it can be used for Firming Anti-Aging Serums and is Non-Greasy Oil use day and night, use as a Massage or a Moisturizer for Dry Dull, Sagging Skin, Face, Hair, Foot, Leg, Hands, Nail and Cuticle Care. Help relieve pain from bruises and muscle aches.
Whole dried plant extraction from soaked for several weeks in a sugar cane extraction and then strained and the process is repeated 3 times, After straining the last time of soaking it is then placed in a high-pressure vacuum crucible chamber machine. Hours later you have a stunning absolute oil. Batches are small and oh-so-wonderful. This is a marvelous deep bright green in color viscous oil. Just gorgeous!
Has a deep dry amber tar like note with a slightly sweet nautical citrus sea breeze note of tenacity. Smells nothing like our maceration essential oil. Blends well with Juniperberry, Citrus essential oils, Geranium, Jasmine, Tuberose, Lavender Nard, Cedarwood, Jerusalem Pine, Cypress, and Ylang Ylang.
