This blend was inspired by her status as Queen. How she rose from being a young maiden to Queen of a very powerful Nation. She was chosen by G-d to be there when the people needed her the most. Because of her faith and tenacity for standing up for what is right.
It is said that this is the combination of oils that she immersed in before meeting with the king. This features a modest amount of resin oils made from authentic ingredients from the land of Israel as well as spices that were traditionally used in the Temple incense offering.
In preparation to see the King, Esther went through bathing literally in a bath made of oil that was of myrrh and other spices blend for six months. This Myrrh oil was a combination of aromas that together would delight your your whole body and soul.
The sweet fragrance of Queen Esther’s perfume Myrrh represents our need to purify our hearts to become the willing vessel finds favor with G-d the King of the Universe. in midrash says that when Esther went to see the King after her six month of preparation it was in the month of Elul.
Our Queen Esther Perfume is a beautiful, exotic blend of sweet aromas extracted from resins, trees, leaves, and flowers found in Israel and the middle eastern countries.
This Queen Esther’s Shemen has similar notes of aroma to the Hadassa Sod Shemen sweet notes blend that we offer, except it has more of a warm cinnamon, woodsy spice, with a lower concentration of essential oils, because it is made directly from the raw materials infused into olive oil base that gives it a deeper aromatic experience.
Both versions are well documented as the Queen’s preferred blends. Hadassa Shemen is a secret blend, and Esther’s Shemen is the blend she wore daily because of the bath immersions she was required to take.
Esther 2:12 Now when every maid’s turn was come to go in to king Ahasuerus, after that she had been twelve months, according to the manner of the women, for so were the days of their immersions were completed, six months with oil of myrrh blend, and six months with sweet aroma, and with other spices for the purifying of the women.
