Dark Patchouli Heart Note is a highly complex aroma because it is without the sesquiterpene parts in the low temp extraction process. This is aged patchouli from 2013 and much like East Indian Sandalwood aged is the most coveted and highly sought after. This unique aged Patchouli Heart Note is quite similar to the iron-free patchouli with its rich, balsamic-herbaceous bouquet and earthy, woody, carmel undertone.
However, it is in my opinion a bit deeper in its undertone notes because the extraction is carried out at a low temperature to preserve the natural profile identity of the raw material to give it that deep complex aroma. This High-Quality highlights the beauty of Patchouli heart notes without the sesquiterpene parts and it has a really lovely dry down.
When I first purchased this essential oil it was deep patchouli but with green earthy notes and color was pale to medium yellow. Now 10 years later it is gorgeous like looking at a shot of dark rich brandy whisky and the smell is a complex very rich and oh so wonderful.
Earthy aphrodisiac; warm, woody note for evening massage, deodorant, calming. ****
