Our Osmanthus Floral Wax is a solid, exquisitely aromatic plant wax is obtained during the production of Osmanthus fragrans floral concretes and absolute oil.Floral waxes is comprised of the natural wax and the precious aromatic components which are present within fragrant flower blossoms and petals. Nothing else is added.
Plants naturally produce wax as a means to waterproof and protect the outer layers of their flowers, leaves and other aerial parts of the plants. As a part of the process of manufacturing a floral absolute, plant wax is separated from the concrete, resulting in a highly aromatic, soft to semi-soft to solid floral wax which is well suited for inclusion in the finest solid perfumes, balms, creams, lotions and other luxe fragrancing skincare and personal applications.
It retains a milder aroma than is found in the absolute, but its creamy texture which makes it a desirable ingredient in its own right! Osmanthus flowers have long symbolized love, faithfulness, and longevity. In Asian cultures including the Middle East, the flowers are used in weddings or given as a gift from a bride to her new family, representing peace and blessings. In the language of flowers, osmanthus flowers mean good fortune, prosperity, and nobility.
Our Osmanthus Floral Wax is firm at normal room temperature, and it easily melts when heated. Floral Waxes can vary slightly in firmness, but they tend to be somewhat similar in consistency to that of a firm vegetable butter.
Floral waxes can be incorporated into creams, lotions, balms and solid perfumes. They tend to be very hard and can sometimes takes more time to get the floral wax melt , but the effort can be so very rewarding.
