The botanical name of the Hops Oil is Humulus lupulus and extracted from the cones flowers by the process of Artisan Steam Distillation method.
The other names of Hops oil are Common Hop and Beer Hops. Hops flowers are a cousin of Cannabis Hemp Flowers which is obvious from the aroma of the hops flowerA few of the primary aroma compounds in hops are myrcene, beta-pinene and alpha-humulene.
These and other aromatic compounds are also what give cannabis plants their characteristic smell. The similarities aren’t strictly related to aroma qualities either. The primary alpha-acid responsible for producing the bittering action in hops is humulone, which is a terpenoid. A similar terpenoid is also the primary active ingredient in cannabis Hemp.
Its spicy sweet and herbal aroma is used in calming blends in both perfumes and diffusers. Hops plants are dioecious, meaning that they have separate male and female plants much like the hemp plant. The female flower is the one utilized for brewing beer.
