Scent: Dill Weed essential oil has a green, grassy, tangy, smooth herbal scent that is gently warm with anise licorice notes.
Blends Well With: Aniseed, Carrot Seed, Cajeput, Fennel, Geranium, Jasmine, Lemon, Lime, Orange and Petitgrain.
Cautions: Possible drug interactions with diabetes medication and anyone on blood thinning or factor medications.
Benefits: Dill Weed is noted to be anti-bacterial, anti-diabetic, anti-spasmodic, and is traditionally used for bronchial asthma, as an expectorant, pancreatic stimulant and an insulin / blood regulator, which makes it helpful for diabetes (and therefore should be used with caution if on medication). It is used for digestive and liver issues and painful periods. Promotes lactation (Davis).
Contraindicated if taking diabetes medication (Tisserand page 269).
