Known as Cajeput Myrtle, Myrtle cajeput,weeping paperbark, long-leaved paperbark or white paperbark is a plant in the Myrtle family, Myrtaceae and is widespread in northern Australia, Southeast Asia, New Guinea and the Torres Strsait Islands. This myrtle is now growing in the Mediterrainian regions.

It has a sweet, fruity middle note. Artisan Steam distilled from Melaleuca leucadendra, it has a somewhat fruity scent when compared to similar oils like tea tree, eucalyptus like or camphor oils and is equally pungent. Great replacement for those who do not like eucalyptus or tea tree for their essential oil blends.

Herbal or floral oils such as clary sage, citrus oils, eucalyptus, cedarwood, lavender, or rosemary, or combine with other strong aromas like cedarwood or clove.
