Come from our own garden greenhouse of OrangeLillies. A quiet and lovely aroma. Excellent for use as a body spray after a shower. Perfect for making DIY water-based formulations such as lotions and creams. Can be used in conjunction with dry or wet clay recipes.
Growing season is from May to early July. The Hebrew word Shoshan (shushan) from Aramaic: shoshanta, שושנתא (rose); Arabic: susin (iris); Greek: souson; translated as “lily” means beautiful flower.
The word may derive from ‘shesh’, the root for “six”, which matches the number of petals of this flower, the three outer ones known as sepals thus creating a two part, six pointed , star which is one of the sources of the symbol Star of David.
It is mentioned in the bible relating to King Solomon Seal. The Star of David is two paleo Hebrew letters Dalet intertwined to spell the name, David. Depression, Circulation, and Scar Tissue It has been proven to soften dry skin, especially on elbows and cuticles.
Lily is used in treatment for spider veins to dissipate their appearance. Another healing property of Lily is how great it is for the heart. Gently opens emotional knots of the heart; a lovely, powdery fragrance
When mixed with other hydrosols such as Rose, Cucumber, and citrus hydrosol makes a nice skin toner. Pink and White Lillies contain many wonderful and powerful healing properties which make them a valuable addition to the natural medicine cabinet.
Used by many ancient people for symptoms such as nausea, headaches, respiratory, menstrual cramps, and muscle pain. Some research says it may be helpful with depression, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal
