The inspiration for this soap from the Galilee and the Golan Heights – those who travel around know that very often the predominant scent is of three simple but special plants – sage, hyssop and sage along with the aroma of the olive trees it is heavenly.
Both plants have been used as antiseptic cleansing and healing for thousands of years. There is a famous example of this which can be found in the Torah, where the Holy Temple Priests used Sage and Hyssops to cleanse a home or the person of disease such as tzara’at. These plants are also anti-bacterial.
This soap contains sage, hyssops, olive oil, and green clay. The combination of the 4 ingredients creates a highly aromatic soap – with a herbaceous, almost medicinal aroma, which is beloved by natural outdoorsy folks. Healthy and luxurious, and also makes a quick shower as if in an experience of Israel outdoors in secluded forest and fields of nature.
