Much like White Cedar Leaf essential oil real Western Red Cedar essential oil also known as Red Thuja Cedar is not easy to find this is why we decided to artisan produce this amazing cedar oil ourselves.
It was an expensive adventure to forge and harvest much of these highly aromatic tree branches, it was so very worth it! The color is deep amber red to dark amber brown green medium semi-viscous oil. The color changes as it ages.
This Red Cedar is extracted by natural ethanolic extraction of the concrete, it is produced from Leaf, stems, heartwood, resin, and, tiny cones. put to soak and then recharged with new material every few weeks and then are strained after 30 to 40 days of soaking, then put in a high-pressure vacuum crucible machine, and three hours later you have a beautiful stunning absolute oil.
The batches are always small. Red Cedar oil has a very fresh aroma that is camphoraceous to help open up sinuses, clear lungs, freshen the air while also purifying the air from viruses and germs. Topical application for warts, muscular aches, and pains. A pleasant scent for deodorizing your home. Beneficial to the nervous system, respiratory issues such as common colds and flu, soothes skin issues like minor bouts of eczema and psoriasis itching and redness, calms bug bites, and was often used in historical records as a mosquito repellent.
This oil can be used for many purposes and will often affect multiple systems all at once. It is most commonly applied in aromatherapy with the use of a diffuser, spray, or added to a personal inhaler to clear the lung and bring more oxygen to the brain.
It is suggested by Many Certified Aromatherapists to blend ginger and sweet marjoram, lemon, and sweet orange into a personal inhaler for seasonal respiratory issues. As a Certified Aromatherapist, I certainly agree this is a great combination!
Red Cedar Oil aroma profile: This oil has a strong, fresh-green aroma with sharp undertones of musky citrus cedar and wood.
According to the book Essential Oil Safety by Tisserand and Young the constituents of this oil contains α-thujone, β-thujone, fenchone, sabinene, and terpinen-4-ol.
Blending and Uses This oil blends well with black pepper, cedarwood, citrus oils, ginger, white cedar, amayris, sweet marjoram, frankincense sacra, and carterii, elemi, and sandalwood.
