Our tagetes essential oil is steam distilled from the flowering plant Tagetes minuta grown in Israel and is the lovely Madagascar variety of Tagetes beautiful bright orange layered puffy flowers. This middle note has a bitter-green and herbaceous scent and is often used in organic quality aromatic blends. Tagetes is commonly known as marigold, but should not be confused with calendula which goes by the same common name. Tagetes oil blend well with clary sage, lavender, bergamot, or lemon oils.
