Jaffa/Joppa is filled with history as well as aroma! The Harbor of Jaffa is one of the oldest functioning harbors still in operation today, just 30 miles south of Caesarea on the Mediterranean Sea just outside of Tel Aviv.

Jaffa is where the small fishing boats were when Jonah went to flee from Elohim to Tarshish (Jonah 1:3).
But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the L-RD, and went down to Jaffa, and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the L-RD.
This verse is the inspiration as we were told by locals in Jaffa that “Lord Jaffa Orange Orchard” got its name.
Cedars would float from Phoenicia to Jaffa and then be transported to Jerusalem during the days of the construction of Solomon’s Temple (2 Chronicles 2:16). Cedars came from Lebanon to Jaffa during the time of King Cyrus (Ezra 3:9).
Traditional Uses: May assist in improving digestion, reducing dryness in skin, toner cleanser for pores, agie spots, and induce joyful emotions. Historically used to be uplifting and yet, relaxing and as a carrier oil with Lavender oil for a sleep aid.
Known to help nervous issues (impaired digestion), tummy rub for menstrual cycle pain, curbs appetite to help in reducing cravings and possibly obesity, nervous tummy, curb constipation, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, may ease menopause symptoms, and dry skin.
