Well, yes, this is a crazy thing to do, so I decided it was time. I gathered a lot of flowers and gently dried them to remove moisture. Even dried, these flowers are highly fragrant. We gathered Magenta, Pink, Purple, and White flowers. I knew this mixture would most likely be at least a rich dark green amber color when finished. We use three types of blooming lilacs. Early blooming, April to mid-May. Midseason blooming lilacs from mid-May to mid-June, and Late Blooming lilacs from late June to early July.
So, I place these gently dried flowers into Organic Sugar Cane Alcohol food grade 190 Proof (Ethanol). I soaked the flowers and kept recharging (replace with new) the flowers when they were spent and without color. I give these flowers plenty of time while they exhale their gorgeous, elegant aroma, then these flowers are diligently recharged with new flowers regularly, so the flowers are recharged seven times over 80-90 days.
After 80-90 days, depending on volume and length of season. I strained the mixture and placed it into our Vacuum Crucible Machine to evaporate all the Sugar Cane alcohol to leave only a gorgeous Lilac Flower absolute essential oil. This one is an OMG absolute oil! Extremely long process, but oh so worth it.
There is nothing like this oil on the market. This is the first oil created of its kind made with my love and care. There is a lot of Lilac absolutes on the market, but again, nothing like this one because we are the only producers of this oil on the market right now, which explains the high demand. You will find, most likely, on the market a synthetic oil version, which is called an absolute, but is not; in fact, it is something you do not want to use at all! Keep in a cool place to preserve freshness. Store away from direct sunlight, bright lights, and very hot, humid temperatures. Dilute properly with a carrier oil before using on skin.
