We have produced a small quantity of Lavender Oil “Grosso” Israel. This species commonly called Purple Lavandin is a cross-growth between two closely related species: Lavandula angustifolia (Traditional Lavender) and Lavandula latifolia (Spike Lavender).
It forms a low mound of very fragrant narrow green-grey leaves. In late spring tall stalks rise, topped by spikes of sweet-smelling purple flowers.
The benefits are the same as traditional lavender and more refreshing and has a high content of the continent linalool which is most coveted in high-quality organic Lavenders.
This oil is cooling, refreshing, and campherus, and displays a complex sweet, herbaceous-coumarin bouquet with a hint of a citrus note and a sweet balsamic-resinous undertone.
In archeology and in just walking the Holy land it is not unusual to see Lavender and Henna growing side by side.
