Left over from our Natural Solvent Extracted process from wild harvested resin from the majestic Amazonian tree. The tree reaches up to 20 metres height which secretes a beautifully aromatic white resin from its bark. Known locally as Breu Branco, it belongs to the fragrant Burseraceae family, as do all Frankincense, Myrrh, and of course Palo Santo. Known as the ‘Frankincense of Amazonia’, it has an aroma which is reminiscent of Frankincense, yet fresher with a citrus slight palo santo aroma.
Its chemical composition is also very similar, as are some of its properties. But while the Frankincense we know from Somalia and Oman has a dry powdery note, its Brazilian cousin is fresher and has a deeper zest and splash of citrus and spice balance. Given the widely differing habitat this is in a class of its own because the richness really comes through.
This tree resin is shipped to Israel to be Holy land Charged™ for 18 days sitting in an Israeli ceramic handcrafted vessel to absorb the energy of the Holy Land before being processed in the traditional method of extraction. This extra step gives the resin an extra edge of add to vitality and quality of the oil. We think it is worth it.
