Dark Green to Dark Blue-Green in color varies with each batch. This CO2 Chamomile essential oil (Matricaria chamomilla, M.recutita) is a rich semi thick liquid displaying a sweet, herbaceous, coumarinic bouquet with a warm fruity, balsamic undertone of good tenacity.
Our Organic German Chamomile CO2 extract has a rich, comforting, sweet-warm, deeply sweet herbaceous aroma with light fruit undertones that will offer a pleasant-smelling base material to work with when formulating blends as well as during application.
This one is not like most thick Chamomile CO2 oils on the market. This one is done with lower pressure and slower process so you get a more pourable oil, however, it will thicken a bit more to a semi solid state in cooler temps. So gently warm it before using. The CO2 extracted oil has even stronger anti-inflammatory roperties and quality than the traditional steam distilled Essential Oil and it has a more natural herbecous and fruity aroma. Its absolutely gorgeous!
Some of the active constituents found in Blue Chamomile CO2 are chamazulene, bisabolol, matricin, and bisabolol oxide. Matricin, a constituent found in the raw plant material specifically the flowers is not compromised during the process.
