The bald cypress is a large deciduous conifer that sheds it needles in the late autumn (hence, the name ‘bald cypress’). The feathery, delicate needles and beautiful bark and cones make it a wonderful addition to any landscape design in any season.
The essential oil of this cypress s light yellow to med yellow to soft green in color with a delightful, fresh, sweet, balsamic, fruity bouquet with a resinous/coniferous/herbaceous undertone.
The sweet fruity/coniferous note has good tenacity. This lovely oil is distilled from on land Bald Cypress tree. We will not distilled from a tree in water. The cones and needles lose their beautiful aroma if it is growing in water specifically swamp land.
