This was distilled from a part of one of my tree branches that broke in a wind storm the day before that was filled with blossoms and leaves so I did what a good herbalist and distiller would do, I cut up the wood and leaves and threw in all the blossoms in the belly of my copper still so not to waste any of this precious tree. The wood is just as fragrant as the leaves and blooms. Wow, we even left a few pieces to use as kindling for our nights around the fire pit and some jewelry-making projects. This hydrosol is highly fragrant.
These are made from my personal garden and trees that are pesticide and herbicide-free. We did get essential oil we will list it soon also,
Hydrosols are the aromatic remains following a plant or tree resin steam distillation or Hydro-distillation process with similar, but much less concentrated properties of essential oil, and these include some of the properties of the whole oil molecules that you cannot get from just the Essential oil. This is like getting a whole plant therapy in a bottle that can be applied to your skin

While native to the Southeastern U.S. it has been growing all over the eastern seaboard. However, we find the aroma of truly grown southern Magnolia should be experienced that is from southern soil.
We harvest these flowers and Leaves from a family-owned small farm in the Southeast USA that has two Heirloom 40-year-old White Magnolia Trees on the property. We harvested these flowers at night when their aroma was strongest and steam-distilled them to get the best essential oil and hydrosol results. True rare White Magnolia oil is about around $300 per ounce. It takes a lot of flowers to create an essential oil.
This elegant Magnolia flower essence has a soft yet complex aroma that is sweet and truly unique. With citrus top notes, luscious layers of light sweet white flower petals, and beautiful undertones of robust peach and ripe apricot. The leaves are much the same with peacy note but also green slightly camphorous notes with fresh citrus spice. Magnolia’s aroma is multi-layered and reminiscent of sweet things like sparkling champagne, a bouquet of wildflowers, and freshly picked fruit. The oil and hydrosol is just heaven in a bottle.
Therapeutically, Magnolia is said to increase circulation, act as a sedative to relax sore muscles, calm skin irritation, also, benefit and relax both the mind and body. It makes a lovely after shower spray.
