Bible Inspiration: Exodus 20:1-20, Exodus 34:26, and Deut 16:1-10

The word Shavuot (or Shavuos) means “weeks.” It celebrates the completion of the seven-week Omer counting period starting after the first day of the Passover Shabbat to Shavuot.

The Torah was given by G‑d to the Hebrew(Jewish) people (Am Yisroel Chai) on Mount Sinai on Shavuot more than 3,300 years ago. Every year on the holiday of Shavuot we renew our acceptance of G‑d’s gift, and G‑d “re-gives” the Holy Torah.

We gathered seven essential oils of flowers, leaves, and resins listed in the Torah and skillfully blended them together to create a beautiful Shavuot Blend. Each ingredient represents each of the seven weeks leading up to Shavuot a wedding feast between G-d and his People Israel.

Then we added seven fruits that grow in the Holy Land of Israel to bring the vibration of the Land into every bottle for balance and bring down the Energy of Moshiach and Ruach with a Spiritual Connection to Shavuot in Prayer, Dance, Celebration, and Worship. Together these 14 oils encompass the whole Torah giving us a very powerful and blissful blend of Celebration and Anointing.

Our sages have compared it to a wedding between G‑d and the Jewish people. Shavuot also means literally “oaths,” for on this day G‑d swore and oath of eternal devotion to us, and we in turn pledged an everlasting oath of loyalty to Him. The Canopy was was the flower-filled mountain of Sinai and its overhanging clefs and the Ketubah was the Ten Commandments which summerized the whole Torah.

In ancient times, two loaves made of wheat would be offered in the Holy Temple on Shavuot. It was also at this time the people would begin to bring bikkurim, their first and choicest of fruits, to thank G‑d for the bounty he has provided.

The yahrzeit of King David is traditionally observed on Shavuot, not only is it the date King David passed away, but it was also his birthday.
