Aroma is not a traditional myrtle. It is with a hint of menthol green top note that dries down to a sweet floral  sugary perfume spicey green note. A very complex aroma!

We are the first to ever distill Crepe myrtle which is a plant that is commonly used as an ornamental plant, usually placed in garden and side road spaces for shade, etc. However, this plant whose Latin name is Lagerstroemia speciose or can also be called crape myrtle can grow well in tropical countries such as Indonesia and had many medicinal uses.

Crape/ Crepe myrtle itself can actually grow well both on fertile or arid soil. Sometimes, crepe myrtle can be easily found in teak forests. Although it is considered to be a wild plant, crepe myrtle has a lot of benefits for health. Part of this plant, which is the leaves, can be used as a medicine to cure different kinds of diseases and also to protect the health of the body.

In Europe, crape myrtle is common in the south of France, the Iberian Peninsula, and most of Italy; in the United States, it is an iconic plant of gardens across the Southern United States. It has been cultivated in many parts of Australia, but is most common in the areas of the country with a Mediterranean climate such as the south-east Israel and western parts of the Jordon and much of the Middle East.

Known as floral water distillates or Hydrolat distillation water. Hydrosols are the aromatic remains following a plant or tree resin steam distillation or Hydro-distillation process with similar, but much less concentrated properties of essential oil, and these include some of the properties of the whole oil molecules that you cannot get from just the Essential oil.  This is like getting a whole plant therapy in a bottle that can be applied to your skin

These are pesticide and herbicide-free. These Hydrosols consist entirely of cellular botanical water, which includes unique water-soluble compounds and tiny droplets of essential oil that are from the distillation process that bond with the water of the distillation process that provides each hydrosol with distinct characteristics and benefits. These High -Quality Hydrosols contain the essence of the plant in every drop.

Crepe/Crape Myrtle has some contents that can be used as a medicine to cure some kinds of diseases. Not only as medicine, but crepe myrtle can also be used as herb that is good for health. Some contents of crepe myrtle are corosolic acid, saponin, tannin, and flavonoid.

From some of the research that had been done, saponin in crepe myrtle’s leaves can be used as an antioxidant to increase the immune system. Some contents of crepe myrtle are also believed can be used as medicines and herb potions to maintain good health.

Recommended keeping these in the refrigerator for freshness. The healing benefits are the same as the essential oils. Recommended for air purification only use and a small amount for topical use only for cooling hot skin. Do not spray on the face because there are essential oil droplets from the distillation in the hydrosol product. Discontinue use if an allergic reaction occurs.

Always consult your physician before the use of any essential oils or herbs.
