Cape Buchu was brought to Israel from South Africa. Cape Buchu grows in the upper Galilee region of Israel. Blends well with cedarwood, lemon, citrus, lavender, frankincense, patchouli, rose, and citrus oils.
Cape Buchu essential oil is primarily known for its antiseptic, diuretic, and antibacterial properties. Cape Buchu essential oil contains two chemical compounds which have very positive effects on the urinary system: diosphenol and limonene. often used in Chinese medicine and Middle Eastern herbal medicines.
Diosphenol is a phenolic derivative proven to bring a cleansing action to the urinary tract and kidneys. Diosphenol is also a diuretic, which means it is a substance to help increase the production of urine to quickly cleanse the urinary tract of Infection which is why it is often used for a UTI or Kidney infection.
It is so powerful that just inhalation of the oil works or rub on the lower back area where the kidneys are located. Use small amounts this one is the very strong aroma and can be a bit overwhelming. Do not use if you are pregnant and nursing and do not use around pets and small children.
**Please Note: This Essential Oil is not to be confused with Buchu essential oil extracted from the Agathosma Crenulata plant contains a large quantity of pulegone and is not recommended for use. Always check which Buchu Essential oil you purchase.
